Today our conversation is with Taras Sklyarsky!

Taras works as the head of the stretch film rewinding production unit.

“Terra-Paсk” manufactures packaging stretch film from granules. Headed by Taras, the unit rewinds ready-made dimensional rolls of film to the parameters required by customers.

“My responsibilities include: receiving raw materials, inventory accounting, receiving orders from the sales department, forming production orders, and shipping finished products. I can say that all the listed processes have been brought to automatism. However, it did not happen immediately.

In June, it will be 10 years since I came to Terra-Pack. He worked as a rewinder for five years, and since January 2018 he headed the stretch film rewinding unit.

The period when he became a manager was unforgettable. As the head of the division, I saw the enterprise in a different way. It was like a new beginning. There were new and at the same time difficult tasks: mastering 1C, communicating with managers, logisticians, organizing work. There were bugs that had to be fixed to get things working. I am happy with every mastered part of the work, completed task – for me, these are personal victories.

When the war started, there was a difficult moment – everything stopped, the unknown was frightening, it was not easy. But step by step, with the assistance of the management, the work was started.

A positive moment of 2022 that will be remembered was the return after the break at the beginning of the war to more or less settled work.

Although our work is automated, sometimes force majeure occurs. Yes, at the end of last year we had a record production volume of stretch film. It was difficult to manage, but with the help of Andrii Bykov, the head of production, it was possible to fulfill all orders on time. The increased load was divided into small tasks, approached step by step. Also, well-established communication with logisticians and the sales department helped to successfully get out of the situation.

We did our best not to let customers down. And they did not fail.

What do you like about the company? Team, friendly atmosphere. All problems that arise can be solved by joint efforts.

I am a philosopher by education. Does education help in work? To some extent yes. Flexibility, adaptation, knowledge of the basics of psychology (which, by the way, arose from philosophy) – all this contributes to successful communication.

Is there creativity in my work? Certainly. I show creativity in communication with subordinates.

Outside of work, my hobby is sports cars. I am fascinated by cars of the Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo, which I actively use on the roads of Ukraine. I dream about collector cars of this manufacturer.

In 2022, we managed to save people and almost save production volumes. In the future, I want to see the preservation of stability at “Terra-Pak”, as well as an increase in the company’s potential and production volumes, expansion of the equipment park. I wish the company growth in all aspects: financial and economic, personnel.”
