Terra Pack received a HALAL certificate

HALAL dictates rather strict requirements not only for raw materials used in the process of manufacturing halal products, but also for personnel, production premises, tools, uniform, packaging and labeling

Halal packaging products are relevant for manufacturers of food products, especially export-oriented ones.

The term “halal” is derived from the Arabic word “al-halal” (that which is permitted). The word has a wide meaning, but outside the Arab world it is used when talking about food.

Obtaining a HALAL certificate means a thorough examination of the production line by a group of specialists who have relevant knowledge not only in matters of the religion of Islam, but also in the field of production, biology, chemistry and other necessary sciences. After the production audit procedure, the results of the conducted evaluations are sentto the head of the department for issuing the Halal certificate in order to start the process of consideration of the possibility of obtaining the corresponding certificate.

In the consumer market of Ukraine, the demand for halal products is growing rapidly and no one is surprised by the presence of halal shelves in supermarkets. Products manufactured in accordance with HALAL standards are popular not only among Muslims, but also among buyers of other faiths.

For Muslims, the HALAL icon is a confirmation that they are buying a product which is made in accordance with all Muslim traditions and does not contain components that are prohibited for consumption by representatives of this faith, namely: pork, blood and some animal organs, meat of predatory animals and birds, meat of dogs and donkeys, meat of animals killed without prayer, that is, in an inappropriate way.

The certificate of HALAL compliance was issued to Terra Pack in two languages, Ukrainian and English.
